Hello Blog World! It's nice to be on board. I've thought about starting this blog for a while...well for about the past 8 months. As soon as I found out I was pregnant I knew I needed to start documenting things going on in my life. I kept putting it off: wait until 2nd trimester, wait until I find out the gender, wait until 3rd trimester, etc. Now here I am 5 weeks from my due date and a lot seems to be happening, so what better time than now?! :-) My main purpose of this blog is to document my first year being a mommy. Who knows if I'll be good at blogging and keep it up but I thought it might be fun to make it a whole year and look back on everything that went on and see how my husband and I have changed through the wonderful miracle of our little boy.

It's crazy to think that in 5 short weeks my baby boy will be here. Forever. Always. It's such a surreal feeling. I've truly always wanted to be a mother and the fact that it is so close is just amazing to me. I've watched so many other parent's children over the years through nanny jobs, weekend babysitting, VBS, after school care...the list goes on and on. It's going to be super special changing a diaper and knowing the cute little bum is MY baby's. Rocking and swaying MY baby to sleep. Fixin' up meals and knowing it's MY little guy's belly I'm going to be feeding. I love knowing when I bring him home, he is mine and he is here to stay.
5 weeks people...let the count down begin!
